Neurological Rehabilitation in Merrillville, Indiana
Neurological rehabilitation at Merrillville Injury Care is designed for patients recovering from traumatic brain injury, post-concussion syndrome, radiculopathy, and other neurological conditions resulting from motor vehicle accidents and workplace injuries. Our rehabilitation program is coordinated with Dr. Ungar-Sargon’s neurological care.
Conditions Addressed
Our neurological rehabilitation program treats patients with post-concussion syndrome and traumatic brain injury, vestibular dysfunction (dizziness and balance disorders), cervical and lumbar radiculopathy, peripheral neuropathy, and post-surgical neurological recovery. Treatment protocols are developed in coordination with our neurologist to ensure rehabilitation goals align with the neurological treatment plan.
Treatment Techniques
Neurological rehabilitation techniques include vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) for dizziness and balance, cognitive-motor integration exercises, nerve mobilization and gliding techniques for radiculopathy, neuromuscular re-education, and progressive activity tolerance training. Our therapists work closely with Dr. Ungar-Sargon to monitor neurological progress and adjust rehabilitation intensity accordingly.
